Biography

Dr. Andrea Walker received her PhD in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Washington State University. She is an Assistant Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice at The ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô ( ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô). Before joining ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô, she worked as a Research Associate at the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education Center (NCITE) at the University of Nebraska Omaha (2022-2025) as well as Assistant Professor at The University of Tampa (2017-2020). Prior to obtaining her PhD, she worked as a Legal Assistant in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in criminal, civil, and public interest law.

Teaching Responsibilities

As faculty, Dr. Walker has taught undergraduate and graduate criminal justice courses in different areas, including ethics, violence against women, criminal law and procedure, correctional law, and crime control policy. At ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô, she currently teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice and Ethics in Criminal Justice Practice & Policy.

Research Interests

Dr. Walker's research interests include program evaluation, ethics in justice, criminal law and procedure, and sex offender policy, reentry, and treatment.
