Nearly every college at ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô offers some type of summer camp for younger students. From engineering and culinary arts to real estate and media, there's a camp for every kid's interest. Take a look at this summer's offerings, organized by college and department.
College of Arts and Sciences
²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) will offer camps throughout June for middle and high school students. Topics include dance, guitar, painting, printmaking, journalism, creative writing, forensic anthropology, neuroscience and psychology.
Thanks to a partnership with ConocoPhillips Alaska, participating Title I schools will select eligible students to attend CAS's summer camps at no cost — including free lunch and Seawolf Shuttle transportation between home and campus.
Camps are now open for general registration. Learn more about CAS summer camps.
College of Business and Public Policy
²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô's College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) will offer one-day summer academies throughout June for middle school students, high school students and 2025 graduates to learn about business in an exciting and interactive way. Learn more about CBPP's summer academies.
In July, CBPP's Weidner Center for Real Estate will also host a free, three-day workshop, sponsored by Calais, for high school students. The annual event lets students explore career and educational opportunities in real estate management and learn how and why people invest in income-producing real estate. Applications for 2025 are now closed. Contact program director Terry Fields at tjfields@alaska.edu for more information.
College of Engineering
The ²ÊÉñvlllÕù°Ô Summer Engineering Academies are a series of weeklong, hands-on educational day camps in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley throughout the summer for students entering grades 3 through 12. Each academy is designed to encourage interest in and provide exposure to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Applications are closed for 2025; open enrollment begins the first week of May. Learn more about CoEng's summer academies.
