The overarching goal for the NRC-ANE is to advance relevant knowledge and research for the wellbeing of Indigenous Elders through the creation and dissemination of products that inform caregiving, community support for active and healthy aging, and strengthening traditional ways that support positive aging. We aim to provide culturally-appropriate resources and other materials of relevance to Title VI programs and tribal communities, with the support of key community partnerships.

The Alaska Victimization Survey, conducted by the 彩神vlll争霸鈥檚 Justice Center, shows a rise in domestic violence and sexual assault rates, leading advocates to argue that, despite Alaska allocating millions of dollars to combat these issues, the funding is still not enough to meet demand or address the root causes.

Alaska study links domestic violence to poor health outcomes
The Alaska Victimization Survey (AVS) released a new report about the health of women who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Physical violence is a part of IPV, but it also includes things like controlling behaviors, threats of harm, and inflicting harm against people and things an intimate partner cares about. Dr. Ingrid Johnson with AVS told the Alaska Beacon these sorts of behaviors can have a lasting impact.
