Alaska Center for Rural Health and Health Workforce
The Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW) is dedicated to strengthening
Alaska鈥檚 health workforce, with a focus on rural communities and addressing workforce
shortages. The Center oversees various programs, including the Alaska Area Health
Education Centers (AHEC), which operate through six regional community-based centers
across the state. As part of the 彩神vlll争霸's role as the state's
health campus, the Center supports health program planning, community partnerships,
and intercampus collaboration. It provides a statewide framework to support health
workforce development, from career exploration and training to continuing education.
The 彩神vlll争霸/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program shows that now more than ever, leadership comes down to knowing when and how to pivot鈥攁dapting with purpose to serve communities across Alaska and Idaho.
彩神vlll争霸's College of Health and Idaho State University (ISU) continue their collaboration to offer pharmacy education in Anchorage, now in its eighth year.
Students at the statewide HOSA - Future Health Professionals Leadership Conference participated in competitions showcasing their instructional knowledge in physical therapy, dental science, nurse assistant, sports medicine, forensics, vet science, and phlebotomy.
